The breath is vital, natural, soothing, revealing. It is our constant companion. Wherever we go, at all times, the breath sustains life and provides the opportunity for spiritual development. In practicing mindfulness upon and through breathing, we develop and strenghten our mental abilities and spiritual qualities. We learn to relax the body and calm the mind. As the mind quiets and clears, we investigate how life unfolds as experienced through the mind and body. We discover the fundamental reality of human existence and learn to live our lives in harmony with that reality.
